Section of Hospital Pharmacists
The Section of Hospital Pharmacists (SHP) is a professional section of the CzPS. The members of the Section are formed predominantly from hospital-based pharmacists or other professionals interested in the issues of hospital pharmacy.
The SHP is a member of the European Association of Hospital Pharmacists (EAHP), actively participating in its numerous activities. The aim of the SHP is to develop hospital pharmacy in different areas as described in the framework of the European Statements of Hospital Pharmacy and thereby contribute to implementing the provisions of optimal and safe pharmacotherapy for hospitalized patients. In addition, the Section cooperates with relevant institutions to ensure the appropriate foundation, structure and contents of the postgraduate education with pharmacy specialization. Accordingly, the Section has been aiming to establish its sustainable financing of the activities of hospital pharmacists and hospital pharmacies.
The SHP organizes regular professional events, among which the most relevant one has been held annually since 1996 that is the Congress of Hospital Pharmacists.
